Cosmetic Chin Surgery Can Give You The Look You've Been Dreaming of

The Impact of the Chin on the Overall Look of the Face

Of all the features of the face, the chin is often one of the most overlooked when considering one's own face. It's tempting to focus on the eyes, nose, and mouth and forget that protrusion at the bottom of them. However, other people often see only our profile and if a chin is non-existent or misshapen it affects our overall look. A lot of people with very small or non-existent chins are amazed when they take a long hard look at their side profile in the mirror. If this is the case, cosmetic chin surgery to improve your look is the key to achieving the appearance you desire.

What Happens with Cosmetic Chin Surgery

Cosmetic chin surgery is a permanent and fast solution to the problem of a recessed chin. A recessed chin can make facial flaws look more pronounced such as people who have bite issues with their teeth or the appearance of a double chin. One type of cosmetic chin surgery usually involves a small cut being created within the mouth or below the chin. This causes a small area to develop to fit the prosthetic chin into. It's located up from the chin bone and underneath its muscle. The area is tiny enough to keep the prosthetic chin securely in place. If an incision is made below the chin the scarring is slight.

Another form of cosmetic chin surgery involves a cut being made within the mouth. A piece of chin bone is repositioned to form the desired chin, and is firmly set in place. There is no scarring to be concerned with since the surgery is completely internal. If soreness occurs from the surgery, mild pain relievers are often prescribed.

The Benefits of Cosmetic Chin Surgery to Improve your Look

The ability to look better as a result of cosmetic chin surgery in and of itself is a great benefit. Yet, there are still other benefits to going through with the surgery enhancement. Here are some of them:

- People will perceive you as better looking
- Sad but true, pretty people have been proven to earn more money
- The opposite sex will find you a bit more stunning, especially from the side
- Hollywood actors/actresses and models often have strong jaw lines. Congratulations, you just joined their ranks!
- An unsightly double chin that has hung around for years may suddenly disappear
- The chin becomes well-proportioned in relation to the rest of the face making a larger nose appear smaller
- Many people who know you may realize you look different, but may not be able to quite put their finger on how you've changed
- This is a permanent augmentation that doesn't have to be redone every few years like a knee or hip replacement
- Gives a long, lean appearance to the neck that adds a graceful quality to your visage

What to Expect Post Surgery

Chin augmentation surgery has minimal bandaging and care compare to some other types of cosmetic surgery. If the chin surgery occurred outside of the mouth and under the chin, a small bandage will be applied for a two to three day span of time. There will be some soreness and tenderness in the chin area that will last for a few days. Eating may be restricted to a soft or perhaps liquid diet for a couple of days to reduce pain and pressure to the area. The chin region may feel as if it's being pulled slightly for a few days, but this generally subsides quickly.

Many people do not realize that they could benefit from chin augmentation. Cosmetics Canada is a state of the art cosmetic surgery clinic in Toronto

Liposuction - Facts For Before Surgery

Before going ahead with liposuction, it makes sense to learn about it as much as possible, after all this is a serious procedure. If you break the word down you will find that Lipo comes from a Greek work meaning fat, and suction is, well suction, so at the end of the day liposuction literally means suctioning fat. But, and this is the important part, it is done in a way to sculpt the body to a desired shape.

When you go for liposuction, please bear in mind that this is a serious surgery, and that being the case choose your clinic wisely. After all you want to have a surgeon that knows what they are doing and leaves you with the desired results, without any scarring or pock marking.

The most common areas for this kind of surgery are the arms, legs waistline and bum. And while liposuction can seriously alter the way you look, do not expect miracles. The results may vary depending upon your body type, age, and other variables such as smooth skin that has a high amount of elasticity.

It is also recommend by good surgeons, that you have minimal health problems either physically or mentally. The results may not be drastic or life changing but, most people are satisfied that their appearance has improved. Surgeons state overall, the results may not be seen for six to eight weeks.

If you have done your homework and have educated yourself about the procedure and the potential hazards and risks, you will be far better off.

Once you have had surgery, there are minimal risks of things such as blood clots, and this being the case surgeons generally recommend that you keep active, and in particular do plenty of walking. Importantly though, strenuous activity is not recommended.

A big misunderstanding of patients that go for liposuction is that they have changed their shape forever. This is definitely not the case, because if you led a lifestyle that caused you to become fat in the first place, and you continue that lifestyle after surgery, you will become fat in those areas again.

Although the adverts in the glossy magazines show fantastically sculptured men or women, bear in mind that these people are more often than not models, and do not expect to judge your results by them. Yes liposuction will give you a jump start and improve your appearance - but you still have to be realistic about the results you get and also be prepared to work on those areas after surgery to help maintain and improve your image.

If liposuction is something that you still really want to go ahead with, then make sure you visit http://www.liposuction-surgery-facts.info for more information to get a full understanding of the procedures.
Also at http://www.liposuction-surgery-facts.info there are resources to help you find the right cosmetic surgery to suit your needs.

Non-Invasive Plastic Surgery Options

Afraid of going under the cosmetic surgeon's knife? Try one of many non-invasive treatment options to get a younger looking skin!

We all have some feature of our body that we are not crazy about, some blemished or flawed area that we would love to change. Today, with the help of plastic surgery procedures we no longer need to live with those annoying imperfections anymore. Whoa, hold on, you say. You are not ready to go under the knife for some costly and extensive cosmetic surgery? Well fortunately, plastic surgeons also offer non-invasive options that can produce similar effects.

Non-invasive plastic surgery options include the procedures that do not involve cutting, removing, and sewing skin back up. One of the most popular non-invasive options is laser skin resurfacing. Plastic surgeons use a laser tool to remove layers of skin from your face in order to uncover fresh, new, undamaged skin. This technique is great for softening the look of crows feet wrinkles and lines around the mouth. This option of cosmetic surgery usually takes place in an outpatient center, but can also be performed in a hospital or surgeon's office. The procedure lasts anywhere from 5 minutes to an hour. While the results are impressive, your skin may be left tender and sensitive to the sun for many months afterwards.

Another option to the plastic surgeon's knife is collagen injections. This type of plastic surgery alternative is good for filling out your lips, plumping up your facial skin to reduce wrinkles and restore a more youthful look, thereby decreasing the visibility of scars. Collagen injections are also a lunchtime procedure, performed in an outpatient facility in under an hour typically. While it does involve a needle, it is much less invasive than a full cosmetic surgery requiring cuts and stitches. Collagen injections are a great option because there is virtually no recovery time and the results can last for several months.

A similar non-invasive option is Botox. Botox is a type of toxin (bacteria that is safe for the face and human body) which is injected into the face for its enhancement. The toxin helps in slowing the ageing process and reducing the look of fine lines and wrinkles. It fills out the skin in sagging areas of the face to make it look more like it did one or two decades earlier (depending on your age). It is a pain-free way to reduce wrinkles, especially in the forehead and smile creases. Botox can be inserted into the desired areas in an outpatient clinic within half hour. Again there is no recovery period and the results stick around for several months after which many patients return to the cosmetic surgeon for another dose.

Today there is a cosmetic surgery procedure to fit every need, even those unable or unwilling to actually have surgery performed. If you are longing for a younger look, talk to a plastic surgeon about the many non-invasive plastic surgery options available for you. There are bound to be several that fit your preferences, your time constraints, and your budget. While it may be true that you will have to keep coming back for non-invasive procedures but it may be worth as you can avoid the cosmetic surgeon's knife.

Boston plastic surgery offers many non-invasive surgical procedures for all those who don't want to go under the knife. Boston women and men can undergo such treatments to revitalize their appearance with the skills of board-certified plastic surgeons. Plastic Surgery Can Correct Cleft Palate and Lips

Genetics can sometimes be cruel. For various reasons, some people's DNA gets jumbled in the womb, making for awkward and disfigured body parts. Two of the most common congenital defects include cleft palates and lips. Fortunately, modern science and medicine has made it possible to correct many cosmetic and physical congenital defects by means of plastic surgery.

Cleft lips and palates occur in roughly one out of every 800 births. A cleft lip means that the right and left sides of the lip have not grown together as they should. In some cases, it can look like a whole piece of skin is simply missing right below one of the nostrils to the bottom of the upper lip. There can even be cleft on both sides of the lip in severe cases. A cleft palate is when the roof of the mouth has not fully grown together, leaving a space or whole at the back of the palate. Both of these conditions can cause serious problems for people in childhood and adulthood if not corrected. They may have a difficult time eating most foods, learning how to speak properly and they may contract frequent ear infections and other illnesses.

In order to fix a cleft lip, children must be at least two and a half to three months old. A plastic surgeon will manually pull and stitch the skin together like the DNA should have done in the first place. The cosmetic surgeon makes a cut on either side of the cleft reaching up into the nostril. The skin and muscle is then stretched together and sown up in the cosmetic surgery to create one uniform piece of skin across the upper lip.

For those with cleft palates, the plastic surgery is much more complex and extensive. Most plastic surgeons will wait until a child is at least nine or ten months old before attempting the surgery. The procedure involves cutting the tissue on either side of the cleft separation. The surgeon then brings the tissue and muscle from both sides together and sutures them in place.

Recovery from both procedures involves pain and soreness at the plastic surgery sites. The cosmetic surgeon will provide the patient with a prescription for pain managing medication that should deaden the pain during the healing process. If the procedure is performed on a child, the doctor may require the use of elbow restraints to refrain the young one from creating more pain by rubbing or scratching the repaired areas. After cleft lip surgery, the cosmetic surgeon will instruct you to remove the bandages after a day or two. The stitches will either dissolve or the doctor will pull them out after several days. After cleft palate surgery, the patient may not be able to eat normal foods or comfortably drink on his or her own, so many will have to be fed with intravenous tubes for the first couple days.

Even though surgery always comes with risks and the recovery is never fun, it is amazing what cosmetic surgery and plastic surgery can accomplish for those with cleft lips and palates. In many cases, their scars will fade to be almost imperceptible and they may learn to speak just as clearly as the any other person. Modern plastic surgery has made it possible for those born with lip and palate deformities to lead normal, unaffected lives!

Houston plastic surgery has provided normal lives to many men and women in Houston who were born with genetic disorders like cleft palates and lips. After completion of the surgery by experienced and board certified cosmetic surgeons, such people can eat and speak normal. For more details, visit http://www.drbobbasu.com/.

The Risks and Benefits Associated With Body Contouring Treatments

Every year, more than 50 million Americans try a new diet. According to estimates, nearly two-thirds of all U.S. adults are overweight. Fortunately, many people are able to win the battle of the bulge and lose excess pounds through diet, exercise or gastric bypass surgery. While this is great for health and self-confidence, many people are then left with loose, sagging skin. What can people do to remove this excess skin? Body contouring treatments are one of the most popular solutions, providing a safe and effective solution for many people.

However, no plastic surgery is without risks. Before you decide if body contouring is right for you, consider both the potential risks and benefits of this treatment. By understanding how the surgery works, the results you can expect and the possible side effects, you’ll be better prepared to make the decision that is right for your health, lifestyle and needs.

The Advantages of Body Contouring Treatments

The biggest benefit of having contouring surgery is the ability to regain a firmer, more youthful appearance. Individuals who have experienced significant weight loss, people entering middle age and women who have had children can especially benefit from contouring treatments. By eliminating excessive skin and fat, surgeons can help patients improve their appearance and confidence.

Body contouring can be performed on many different areas of the body, which gives patients the freedom to choose which option is right for their needs and goals. The abdomen, arms, buttocks, lower body and breasts are all areas where contouring can be used to sculpt, shape, lift and tighten the body. Some patients choose a combination of two or more procedures, while others opt for a total lift.

Potential Risks of Body Contouring Treatments

In addition to considering what you may gain by having body contouring surgery, you should also consider the possible risks and complications. While this procedure is regarded as safe by doctors, all surgery carries some risk. Some of the possible complications associated with body contouring procedures include blood clots, excessive bleeding and infection. Depending on where or how the surgery is performed, patients may also experience scarring. This scarring often fades over a period of months, but some people may require additional surgery to minimize scarring and remove scar tissue.

Any type of cosmetic plastic surgery comes with both benefits and possible risks. Before you decide if body contouring is right for you, spend some time carefully reviewing your goals. Always keep realistic expectations in order to get the most out of your plastic surgery experience. Spend some time discussing your options with your doctor in order to determine if you are a candidate.

Your surgeon may recommend another procedure such as facial plastic surgery

Remember that the key to a successful plastic surgery is to be physically and psychologically prepared. By understanding the risks and benefits of cosmetic plastic surgery you’ll be better able to determine if this is right for you.

Trend - Permanent Makeup Application

Permanent makeup is quickly gaining momentum as the latest trend in cosmetic surgery. The application offers purely cosmetic benefits, but can also provide an enhancement to reconstructive plastic surgery.

Is Permanent Makeup for Me?

Many people dread the daily makeup ritual. Cosmetics can not only be expensive, but they often smudge and fade within a few hours of application. Permanent makeup can be the answer for people who want to enjoy the benefits without the attendant hassle. This procedure is also a good alternative for allergies. Vision and motor skills are other common reasons to opt for this treatment. Applying cosmetics can be a difficult process for many, and permanent makeup creates flawless enhancement.

Procedure

The procedure is essentially a tattoo. The application uses colored ink administered through a cosmetic tattooing needle. The process usually requires two treatments; a touch-up session about once a year may be required to maintain vivid results.

For the Eyes

Permanent eye makeup can be applied as an eye shadow or eye liner. Eye liner can be performed by a certified technician in a cosmetic outpatient facility. Eye shadow, however, requires expertise. Look for a certified technician with a great deal of experience.

For the Eyebrows

Permanent makeup for eyebrows is a good way to add definition to eyebrows. Many people who have experienced hair loss due to cancer treatment or conditions such as alopecia turn to these applications to emulate the appearance of hair. It can also cover up hair loss due to waxing or tweezer mistakes.

The Lips and Permanent Makeup Application

Permanent makeup for the lips can create full, defined and more colorful lips. Lip liner adds symmetry and definition to thinner lips. The process for the entire lips creates full, more colorful lips and can also soften wrinkles.

Combining Application With Other Cosmetic Plastic Surgery

Permanent makeup application can be combined with other forms of cosmetic plastic surgery to achieve better results. Many cosmetic reconstructive procedures, such as hair transplant and breast reconstruction require permanent makeup. For example, it is used as part of breast reconstruction surgery to help reconstruct the areola. View plastic surgery photos and discover more about the use of these procedures for reconstructive plastic surgery at DocShop.com.

Risks Associated With Application

Because permanent makeup is essentially a tattoo, the risks are similar. The application can cause infection if needles are not sterilized. Swelling and bumps can form around the site of the treatment. Symptoms usually subside with time. An allergic reaction to the ink is uncommon, but can create serious difficulties. There is also the risk of scars, especially among people prone to keloid formation.

The Cost of Permanent Makeup Application

The cost for the treatment has many variables. Some procedures require a higher level of professional expertise, and will cost more. Location of the facility is also a factor. Application will cost less in densely populated regions. As a general guideline, the cost starts at about $350, and includes the second session. More complicated procedures can cost thousands.

Something to consider about permanent makeup application is that the cosmetic plastic surgery is permanent. Removal requires many treatments and may form scars. Carefully consider this plastic surgery decision before you make it and be sure to look at plastic surgery photos beforehand to approve of the results.

Is a Breast Enlargement Possible With My Own Fatty Tissue?

With the ability to undergo a lip augmentation using your body's own fat cells, many women today wonder if it at all possible to have a breast augmentation with their own fatty tissue. Although in general this seems as a great idea with less risks involved with the procedure it is not really feasible. There are many reasons why a patient can not have a breast enlargement with their own fatty tissue. For starters the fat grafting technology is not an issue seeing as it is commonly used, but in a breast enlargement procedure the amount of fatty tissue needed to perform the procedure is so great that one would not only need the fatty tissue but the blood vessels as well. Just because the fatty tissue can be removed from your body does not mean that it is dead. It is actually just the opposite and much like any tissue in the body it requires the supply of blood to keep it alive.

Lets say that one were to just have the fatty tissue suctioned from the waist and then transplanted into the breasts. Without the supply of blood the fatty tissue would die causing irreparable damage to the surrounding tissue while at the same time exposing the body to infectious diseases.

The technology of fat grafting is available but only in small amounts like the lips. In larger amounts the grafting of fatty tissues is not safe unless the surgeon can also add new blood vessels to the breast region in order to supply the tissue with an ample amount of blood flow to ensure that the tissue will not just die. Eventually if given enough time for the advent of technology involving the transplant of fatty tissues the ability to use our own body's fatty tissue to enlarge the breasts may be possible but as of right now it is not.

There are many alternatives associated with breast augmentation. Please speak with a licensed professional in order to find out more information regarding your breast enlargement options. You may also spend time online researching the breast enlargement options. This will help to ensure that when the time calls for it you will be able to make a well informed decision regarding your breast enlargement.

Non-Surgical Procedure is a Treatment Without the Surgery

Often times you'll hear the phrases "non-surgical" and "non-invasive" thrown around when discussing cosmetic surgery. But is it possible to have surgery without having surgery? The answer is somewhat complex, and much of it depends on your personal feelings and views of what constitutes surgery.

Surgery, at its most basic, is the removal, repair, or replacement of body organs or tissue, or, quite literally, going under the knife. When an incision is placed in your body and later the stitched is closed-that's surgery. For many people, this is a terrifying event, especially when done voluntarily for cosmetic purposes. Consequently, people who are dissatisfied with an aspect of their appearance may choose to simply deal with it rather than take the risks associated with surgery.

Today, advancements in medical technology have made non-surgical or non-invasive techniques possible. Some procedures, even as complicated as facelifts, can be done by using alternative methods to scalpels and stitches.

Following are the popular non - surgical procedures that people choose to undergo.

Lasers
Lasers, for example, are an increasingly popular method of skin rejuvenation. Beams of light pulsate across the surface of your skin, removing wrinkles, scars, sun damage, and acne. You won't need to be put under anesthesia, and the recovery time is usually far shorter than that of traditional surgery. Some types of laser treatments are even referred to as "lunch break" procedures. This means that they are so painless and quick that you can be finished and ready to show your face in a short period of time.

Injectables
Another type of non-surgical procedure is facial injection. Although there is an element of invasiveness, like lasers they are also done quickly and without the need for anesthesia or medications. Common ones include Botox and Restylane. Injections fill in wrinkles, crevices, and can plump up lips and hollows under eyes and cheeks.

Hair Removal
Removing unwanted hair permanently has become increasingly popular and is more effective than ever. Laser treatments are now available and have been used with some success, but the longest-lasting is still the process of electrolysis. A thin piece of metal is slid into the follicle and a small jolt of electricity zaps it, damaging it just to the amount required to cease the new hair growth. There will be some pain and discomfort during the process, but little to none afterwards.

Facelift
Non-surgical facelifts use a combination of other procedures to achieve similar effects to a traditional facelift. Most frequently, lasers, injectables, and chemical peels are used in conjunction to combat wrinkles and treat skin tone and texture. It won't be able to remove excess skin or tighten certain areas, but for those looking for facial refinement and a more youthful look, it is a viable alternative.

Chemical Peels
Chemical peels are a form of skin rejuvenation. They are applied to the skin's surface and can help remove the top layers, revealing the new, undamaged skin cells that lie beneath. With repeated treatments, they can banish blemishes that hide deep within the skin layers.

Although non-surgical procedures can't enhance your breast-size or give you a smaller nose, they are a possible alternative for those looking for a subtle procedure without fear of the operating room.

Atlanta plastic surgery offers you non-invasive surgical treatment by expert and board certified plastic surgeons. You can choose to undergo Botox, laser, facelift, injectables and chemical as per your requirement. You can get procedure information and before and after pictures to help you make your decisions for skin treatment from http://www.swancenteratlanta.com/.

Middle Ear Reconstruction - Ear Surgery Procedures

The ear is one of the hardest parts of the body to reconstruct due to the fact that the ear's cartilage and skin is the thinnest and most flexible on the body. Furthermore reconstructing the actual shape of the ear with cartilage and having it keep that shape after the skin is draped over it is even more difficult. Children are born with a congenital defect of the ear. This defect can be separated into a few classifications which include the inner ear or an auricle deformation as well as an outer ear or microtia deformation. While the external ear may be difficult to reconstruct the inner is much more difficult and it also is known to carry with it loss of hearing if it is not remedied. Unfortunately a child who is born with a congenital ear defect cannot just go in and have that ear fixed but rather he or she has to wait until the cartilage in their body finishes growing which can be around age 5 to 7.

The effects associated with an ear malformation can also be separated into various classifications. For starters an ear defect carries with it psychological effects which is why a child who may have a defect should have it repaired as soon as possible because after the age of 5 they are able to understand more clearly how different their ear is compared to others in their school.

There are the physical effects associated with the ear defect as well. A congenital ear defect caries with it the possibility that the child can loose his or her hearing which also means that since they are young, they will have a serious learning curve due to their inability to listen in class.

Furthermore, a child who is younger than this age of 5 to 7 years may not have enough cartilage in their ribcage to successfully graft in the ear reconstruction surgery. There are plenty of options available when it comes to the repair of these congenital ear defects but it is important to know that sometime you may have to wait. Furthermore the surgeon also needs to be highly qualified due to the precision and artistic skills needed to pull off a successful ear reconstruction procedure.

Herbal Breast Enlargement - Enhance Breasts Naturally With Herbs

One of the biggest things to hit the market recently is the herbal breast enhancement. These usually come in the form of an oral pill and they say it can increase the size of your breasts naturally. Unfortunately there is a lot of controversy surrounding the use of an herbal breast enlargement regiment. These myths and rumors are brought up by people who really have nothing else better to do. Herbal breast enlargement has been around for centuries. That's correct, while the breast augmentation has only really been around for the last half century, the use of herbal breast enhancements has been around for thousands of years.

While some of these herbal breast enlargement pills may be a scam, some of them are the real thing but in order to get any results you have to take the pills daily for more then six months.

Herbal breast enhancement uses phytoestrogens which is a naturally occurring form of estrogen found in various herbs and other plants. As anyone knows, the estrogen chemical is what is also found in every female alive and is the main hormone attributed to the developmental differences between male and female. The use of herbs with these phytoestrogens helps to stimulate the body into producing more of its own estrogen.

You have to make sure to take the pills daily just like a prescribed medication. Just as prescription drugs need regularity to work, so does the herbal breast enlargement pills and therefore any irregularities will cause the process to slow or even stop. The amount of estrogen production that the female body needs to affect the breasts is a substantial amount and it can take up to six months to get your estrogen level up this high. Once the level of estrogen production is reached, the breast will start to be enhanced naturally and once you stop taking the pills, the estrogen levels will stop along with the breast enlargements.

Also remember that when looking for these herbal breast enlargement products to look for the ones that have phytoestrogen as things like fenugreek is for the increased production of quality breast milk and not for breast enlargement. Products containing this are most likely a scam so make sure that they have phytoestrogens in them.
